About Fleming Design & Photography

Born into a graphics arts and printing family, Bill Fleming, Jr. was exposed to professional photographers at an early age.  With a Raleigh family business that was established in 1950, most of Bill’s high school work experience was involved with the family graphics company, The Card Shop, Inc.   After high school, Bill attended Appalachian State University earning a BA in Industrial Technology and a minor in Military Science.  After ASU, he returned to Raleigh and started selling real estate and the involvement in the market renewed his interest and talent in photography.   His passion for photography led him to leave real estate and open Fleming Photography in 1987.  This move realized a dream of working with his father and  mentor that could hone Bill’s talent in photography and develop his skill in graphic art.  Pen and ink renderings led to the “Design” addition to the company name and soon computers took hold and really changed the opportunities in both graphic design and photography.  The emergence of the new mediums proved to be a seamless integration into Fleming Design and Photography.

Residential and Corporate architecture, golf course and corporate identity photography are the main specialties of Fleming Design & Photography.  As you review our online portfolio, make sure to review our “Just for Fun” selections.  Capturing the images with photography has carried Bill all across our wonderful country; Bill has traveled across the eastern seaboard, the Midwest and the southwestern United States.   With photography and design as a passion, we will capture your dream and expose the emotion and feeling for the public to view and savor.
